Mirella Watson, 91, of Westville passed away at 2:28 pm Saturday October 30, 2004 at Provena USMC Logan Campus ER. Mirella was born July 6, 1913 in Minto, New Brunswick, Canada, the daughter of the late Alfred and Rosalie (Joly) Birmont. Mirella married Charles Thomas Watson on December 26, 1933 in Casey, IL and he preceded her in death on January 29, 1988. Survivors include 2 daughters Phyllis Snider of Danville and Char Frazee of Westville. 1 brother Alfred (Marian) Birmont of Coal Valley, IL. 4 grandchildren; Susan (Jack) Duez of Danville, Lori (Ken) Finn of Colorado Springs, CO., Todd (Sherry) Damilano of Westville and Scott (Beth) Damilano of Danville. 6 great-grandchildren, Justin (Karen) Duez of Rantoul, Garrett, Taylor Finn of Colorado Springs, CO., Trevor, Cole Damilano of Danville and Cecelia Damilano of Westville and 1 great-great-granddaughter Hannah Duez of Rantoul. 1 sister Marcelle Stimac preceded Mirella in death. Mirella worked as a seamstress at Rissman and later Windbreaker. She was a member of the Westville Women's Club, the Women's Sewing Club at Trinity United Church of Christ, was a past Grey Lady volunteer at old St. Elizabeth's Hospital. Mirella was a founding member of the Kickapoo Depression Glass Club. Mirella had numerous loves and hobbies including sewing, quilting, gardening, flowers, entertaining the neihborhood ladies on her back porch with cakes, and her famous "Apple Pie"
