Miranda Jean Smith-Williams, 24, of Danville, passed away at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at her residence. Miranda was born on September 4, 1984, the daughter of Randall Smith and Melba (Hinman) Marron. They survive. She married Christopher Williams on June 14, 2008, in Danville. He survives. Also surviving is one step-son, Zachary Williams of Cyclone, PA; step-father, Scott Marron of Danville; one half brother, Randall Smith, Jr. of Attica, IN four step-sisters, Jolee (Brian) Phelps of Urbana, Jana Marron, Julianne Marron and Jasmine Marron, all of Danville; mother and father-in-law, George and Jean Williams of Danville, one sister-in-law, Melissa Dixon of Phoeniz, AZ; grandmothers, Donetta Carney of Tilton and Pauline Marron of Perrysville, IN; grandparents, Gerald (Marian) Hinman of Covington, IN; one uncle, Bruce (Brenda) Hinman; one aunt, Connie Slinker; seven cousins, Robin, Dusty, Candy, Bobbi Jo, Brandy, Logan and Mikey. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Bernadine Smith; two uncles, Donald Smith and Bob Smith; one step-brother, Jonathon Marron and one brother-in-law, George Joe Williams. Miranda enjoyed being around people. She had earned the honor of 3rd Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. She enjoyed playing softball, playing pool, and was a true animal lover. Miranda leaves behind many friends and family who loved her very much. A celebration of Mirandas life will be held on Friday, July 17, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home, 3940 N. Vermilion, Danville, IL 61834, with Pastor Joel Ferren from Community Church of God in Danville officiating. Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2009, from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the funeral home. E-mail condolences may be sent to the family at www.sunsetfuneralhome.com.
