Minnie Marie Brown Ingle Minnie Marie Brown Ingle, formerly of Oakwood, Illinois, passed away Tuesday at Rockford Memorial Hospital. She is survived by her loving husband, Harold Dean Ingle; their two daughters, Lois (Richard) Powell and Christal (Jim) Christiansen; and their grandchildren, Andrew Powell, Rebecca (Jake) Wapinsky, Mary Powell, Madeline Christiansen, Annemarie Christiansen and Caroline Christiansen. She is also survived by her sister, Blanche Baumgartener and two brothers Harvey Brown and Robert Brown. Minnie was proceeded in death by her parents, William and Jessie Brown, her sister Ann Diffendal, and a grandson Willie Powell. Devoted wife, loving mother, doting Grammy, protective sister and loyal friend, were a few of Minnies titles. Over the 25 years Minnie resided in Oakwood, she was involved in a variety of charities and volunteer organizations. She was an active member of the Oakwood United Methodist Church, a Charter Member of Oakwoods Womens Club, coached her beloved Peanuts in Oakwood Youth Football cheerleaders and held numerous position in school organizations. She will be remembered as an avid cookie baker, canner, and jelly maker. In later years, she discovered a passion for crafting and bingo. Most of all she had a zest for life and showered friends and strangers alike with love, fun and laughter. A service to celebrate the life of Minnie Marie Brown Ingle will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday October 26, 2013, at Sunset Oakwood Chapel in Oakwood. Pastor Patti Wise will officiate. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park at a later time. Visitation will be 12-2 p.m. Saturday prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials may be made to the donors choice.
