Mildred Zenke

RIDGE FARM - Mildred Zenke, 88, of Ridge Farm, passed away at 12:16 am on Monday, June 7, 2004, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Mildred was born on October 12, 1915, in Allerton, IL, the daughter of the late Jasper C. and May Archer Jones. She was united in marriage to Billie Zenke on February 19, 1947, in Pocahontas, AK. He preceded her in death on August 27, 1981. She will be missed by: her daughters, Pamela (Kirk) Peter of Mendon, IL, and Karol Lea Baldwin of Aurora, IL; her brother, Max (Ruth) Jones of Tilton, IL; her sisters, Florence McMasters of Danville, IL; her stepsister, Jo Peterson of Acron, OH; her grandchildren, Kevin & Keith Wimsett, K.W. Peter, and (step granddaughter) Tori Nichols; and several nieces & nephews. Two brothers - Kenneth & John Jones, and one sister - Francis Applegate, preceded her in death. Mildred graduated from Allerton High School in 1934. She lived her life as a homemaker. Mildred was member of the Ridge Farm Friends Church, United Society of Friends Women, past Matron of Eastern Star-Broadlands Chapter as well as a member of the Newman Chapter, and served on election board of Love Township. She enjoyed quilting, crafts, and being outdoors.
