Mildred Stine

Mildred B. Stine, 97, of Danville, died at 9:50 am on Thursday, October 12, 2006 at the Hawthorn Inn in Danville. Mildred was born April 20, 1909 in Rileysburg, Indiana the daughter of Guy and Rhuie (Kell) Small. She married Emery Smith on April 6 1933. He preceded her in death. She later married Lawrence Stine in August of 1949. He also preceded her in death. Mildred is survived by one daughter: Sue Whisler of Danville; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; fifteen great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, one son: Larry Stine; one grandson; and two brothers: Myron and Charles (Dub) Small. Mildred graduated from Newton High School in 1927. She was owner and operator of Smiths Grocery Store in Freeland Park, IN for several years. She loved working in her garden and spending time outside watching birds. She also enjoyed sewing and cooking
