Mrs. Mildred R. Hales, 94, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, passed away Friday evening, November 25, 2011, in Lewisburg, Tennessee. Mrs. Hales was born in Champaign, Illinois and was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Clara (Phelps) Iungerich. She was married to Hoyne Reed Hales. He preceded her in death in 1988. Mrs. Hales served her country in the United States Navy WAVES. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lewisburg, a member of the American Legion and after moving to Lewisburg in 1990, served as a volunteer at Marshall Medical Center in Lewisburg. Mrs. Hales retired from Kraft Foods in Champaign, where she was a supervisor in the payroll department. She is survived by two daughters- Linda (Dennis) Dowers of Lewisburg, Tennesse and Anita (Walt) Bush of Indianapolis, Indiana; three grandsons- Dwayne (Kasey) Dowers, Alvin (Teri) Dowers and Matthew (Susanne) Bush; and four great-grandchildren- Baylee Dowers, Daelyn Dowers, Rachel Bush and William Bush. She was preceded in death by her husband and a daughter- Ruth Marie Hales. A Celebration of the life of Mildred Hales will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, a Life Celebration Home. She will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Donor's Choice.
