Danville Mildred "Mid" Andrews Mathers, 91, of Danville passed away at 6:55 AM on March 5, 2022 at Hawthorne Inn in Danville, IL.
Mildred was born on February 2, 1931 the daughter of William and Rozena (Ingram) Cunningham in Danville, IL. She married Ross Andrews on October 14, 1951 and later married Donald Mathers on November 13, 1993 in Mattoon, IL. Donald preceded her in death on February 14, 2009.
Survivors include her daughter, Rhonda Clark of Rainsville, AL, her son, Kevin Andrews of Bismarck, IL, grandchildren, Derrick (Dana) Paddock of Rainsville, AL, Brandon (Lauren) Paddock of Addis, LA , Ryan (Kendal) Andrews of Edina, MN, Heather (Chris) Dukes of Covington, IN, Blake Andrews of Delray Beach, FL, Whitney (Andy) Lundskow of Woodbridge, VA, great grandchildren, Jaxon and Harper Dukes, Brayden and Reagan Andrews, Hannah (Blake) McCurdy, Micah, Adyson, Hadley, and Lincoln Paddock and Ritter Lundskow, stepchildren, Pam (Kevin) Clem of Lawrenceville, GA and Craig (Judy) Mathers of Florida, step grandchildren, Nathan and Patrick Clem of Georgia, and Nicole and Jessica Mathers of Illinois
Mildred is preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Ross Andrews and Donald Mathers, daughter-in-law, Teresa Andrews and two brothers and sister-in-laws, Virgil (Marybelle) Cunningham and Carroll (Bernice) Cunningham, one sister and brother-in-law, Vera (Richard) Felgenhauer.
Mildred worked many years at Conard Grain in Alvin and retired from Walgreens Accounting and Disbursing office in Danville, IL. She loved to be outdoors and particularly mowing her yard. Mildred enjoyed playing Dominos and was an excellent cook. She and her late husband Donald enjoyed hosting parties when the Balloon Classic occurred in Vermilion County.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Jason Schimke will officiate. Burial will be in Gundy Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00 AM on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at the funeral home.
