Mildred May Miller

Mildred May (Lewis) Miller, 96, of Danville passed away on October 25, 2008 at Provena USMC Logan Campus. Mildred was born February 13, 1912 in Tilton, Illinois daughter of William Herman and Lillian May (Day) Lewis. She married Orin F. Miller on May 30, 1930. He preceded her in 1983. Survivors include two sons: James G. Miller and Robert (Marie) Miller; eight grandchildren: Janice Charlie Cole, Cheryl (Steve) Stanis, Cathy Miller, James Miller II, Judy (Lindsey) Gero, Carla (Doug) Gilland, Carol (Rick) Clay, and Cindy (Michael) Conwell; six great grandchildren: Jamie Haton, Jeff (Charity) Stanis, Jason (Molly) Stanis, Brandon Dziak, Sommer (Doug) Conroy, and Sacha Butler; seven great-great grandchildren: Brandon, Zane, & Addison Dziak, Harper & Oona May Conroy, Aubrey Stanis and Bryson Stanis. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, and a great granddaughter. Mildred attended Danville Schools and had worked for a number of years at Sears Roebuck and 13 years at Lakeview Medical Center. She was a member of Chestnut Street Church of Christ and enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and playing games. A celebration of Mildreds life will be held at 1:30 pm, Wednesday, October 29th, 2008 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. Danville, IL. Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville.
