Mildred Malone

Mildred Malone, a beloved mother, grandmother, and matriarch of five generations, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2025, at the age of 97. Born on May 20, 1927, Mildred lived a long, full life rooted in faith, family, and love. Mildred was the cherished mother of two daughters, Sandi Sulander and Janie Nelson. She was a devoted grandmother to five grandchildren: Stacy Jackson, Stephanie Tallent, Shannon Moore, Angie Kilian, and Damon Palmer. Her legacy continued through her ten great-grandchildren: Daniel, Christian, Adrian Kilian, Nicholas Sulander, Brittany and Tanner Berryhill, Tristan, Dillon, and Braxton Tallent, and Ashlynn Palmer. She was also blessed to know her four great-great-grandchildren: Brody and Savannah Summers, and Ava and Ariana Kilian. Mildred was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Guy Malone, her mother, Bernice Hull, and her father, Everett Morris. Her warmth, wisdom, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Mildred’s life was a testament to kindness and resilience, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched. Visitation at Sunset Funeral Home, 3940 Vermilion St, Danville IL, 61834, May 7th, 4:00-6:00 pm.
