Mildred Joyce Hughes

Mildred Joyce Hughes, 71, of Villa Grove, passed away at 4:05 p.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at her home. Mildred was born on February 11, 1934 in Fairmount, Illinois, the daughter of Roy Dean and Hazel (Lane) Gooch Sr. She married Robert L. Hughes Sr. on June 30, 1957 in Fairmount. He preceded her in death on December 14, 2002. She is survived by her children Barbara Hughes of Bismarck, Patty Aldrich of Indianola, Kathy Cook of Villa Grove, Rob Hughes Jr. of Danville, Jenny Carter of Westville, and Paul Hughes Sr. of Camargo. She also had 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother. She enjoyed traveling with her husband in his semi, reading, shopping, and she enjoyed all the time spent with her family and friends. A graveside service for Mildred J. Hughes will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday October 21, 2005 at Greenwood Cemetery, with Rev. Miles Clark officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00-1:30 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville is in charge of arrangements.
