Mildred Ilene Brown

Mildred Ilene Brown, 92, of Danville, passed away at 5:40 a.m. May 11th, 2012 at Vermilion Manor Nursing Home. Mildred was born on March 19, 1920, in Danville, the daughter of Bert and Jessie B. (Cox) Sager. She married Bill Brown on November 10th, 1938, in Rockville, Indiana. He preceded her in death on July 17th, 1997. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers- Herman and Johnny Sager, and a nephew- Darrel Sager. Mildred attended Henning High School. She operated a beauty shop in her home for several years. She was baptized on May 3rd, 1999 at Hooton Church by Pastor Phil Roderick. She enjoyed rides with Carol Shaffer and Betty Kieser. She spent many hours around the table having coffee with her friends at Carnegie's. In her later years she enjoyed spending time with Merle and Brian's dog-Abby. A Celebration of the life of Mildred Ilene Brown will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 17th, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, a Life Celebration Home, with Pastor James Blue officiating. Burial will follow the service in Potomac Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in Mildred's name to the donor's choice.
