Mildred C. Stingley, 66, of Danville, passed away at 1:55 a.m. August 1, 2005 at Hoopeston Community Memorial Hospital. She was born February 10, 1939 in Danville, the daughter of the late Charles M. and Ethel F. (Draper) Waters. She married Norman D. Stingley, Sr. July, 21 1973 in Danville. He preceded her in death July 31, 1999. Survivors include three daughters, Pamela (Kevin) Vehlewald, Teresa (Robert Douglass, Jr.) Hamer, and Elaina (Mark) Murphy; one son, Larry Alan Murphy; four stepdaughters, Nancy (Tony) Norman, Norma (Mel) Robinson, Wanda (the late Lee) Stargell, and Frances (Joe Brady) McNeese; three stepsons, Norman D. Stingley, Jr., Butch (Sandy) Stingley, and Douglas Mike (Jamine) Stingley; 28 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, John Christopher Stingley, one grandson, and two great-granddaughters. Mildred had worked for Steak-N-Shake for many years. She retired from the State of Illinois Unemployment Service as a claim processor. Mildreds hobbies included playing bingo, crocheting, e-mailing her friends, and spending time with her family and friends.
