Mildred Elva "Bonnie" Miller, 95, of Georgetown, passed away at 9:20am, Sunday, July 3, 2016, at Pleasant Meadows Senior Living, Chrisman. She was born on January 19, 1921, in Danville, the daughter of James Andrew and Ethel {Hymer} Miller. Bonnie attended and completed a three-year Ministerial Course at L.I.F.E. Bible College. She then worked as a switchboard operator at Monrovia School District where she earned her High School Diploma in 1960. Bonnie lived in Monrovia, California, for nearly 40 years and then returned to Georgetown in 1990. She was a faithful Church-goer and enjoyed playing the piano at home as well as at many churches. She loved animals and was a big advocate for the ASPCA organization. Bonnie also like to garden and take of her yard. She loved flowers and was a talented writer. She enjoyed spending time in Scripture. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and loving friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Ruth Potter, Daniel Miller, Mary Struer, Grover Miller, Madolyn Watts, Reatha Clemmons, & James Andrew Miller Jr. A celebration of Mildred's life will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, July 7, 2016, at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, 200 E West St, Georgetown. Visitation will be held one hour prior to her service at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park, Danville. Memorial donations may be given in her name to ASPCA.
