Mildred Blagg

Mildred G. Blagg, 87, of Georgetown, passed away at 7:35am, Monday, April 26, 2010, at Vermilion Manor Nursing Home, Danville. She was born on November 14, 1922, in Indianola, IL, the daughter of Firman and Ethel (Ward) Griffith, both deceased. She was united in marriage to Donuel W. Blagg on September 4, 1951, in Shawnee Town, IL, until his passing on July 16, 2006. Those who will miss her include: her son, Michael Lee Blagg of Georgetown; her daughter, Tammy White of Georgetown; her grandchildren, Dustin (Marsha) White of Crystal Lake, IL, Michael (Jennifer) White of Crawfordsville, IN, Eric Blagg, James (Julie) Blagg, & Marc (Carla) Blagg, all of Pennsylvania; and her great grandchildren, Lillian Lena White, Ethan Aaron White, Cheryl Blagg, John Blagg, Talon Blagg, Cory Blagg, & Jade Blagg. Mildred was preceded in death by: her son, Ronald Timothy Blagg; her brother, Fredrick Griffith; and her sister, Hazel Taylor. Mildred was a US Army Veteran and served in WWII, during which she earned a Victory Medal and a Good Conduct Medal. Mildred was a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed being with her family and visiting friends. She also enjoyed watching soap operas, reading, and crossword puzzles. She will be missed by many. As per her wishes, Mildred was cremated. A Memorial Gathering of family and friends will be held from 4pm - 6pm, Friday, April 30, 2010, at the home of her children located at 15552 E 550 N Road, Georgetown.
