Mick Pearman

Newport, Ind. - Mick Pearman, 74, of Newport passed away at 1:17 a.m. EDT Friday, September 14, 2018 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana.

He was born March 17, 1944 in Clinton, Indiana the son Fern and Helen (Graham) Pearman.

Mick married Jerri Lee Bishop on March 9, 1996 in Newport, Indiana. She survives.

Other survivors include his children: Tina Marie Pearman of West Falls, Virginia; Cindy Lea Pearman of Clinton, Indiana and Vicki Lee (John) Donald of Mazomanie, Wisconsin; his mother, Helen Pearman of Boise, Idaho; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren, and one sister: Judy Kay Torrey of Nampa, Idaho.

Mick was preceded in death by his father; daughter, Melody Ray Pearman; sister, Ruth Ann Martin, and brother, Roger Pearman.

Mick was retired from the Indiana Department of Transportation. He was a veteran of the Vietnam war, serving with the United States Army. Mick attended the Victory Baptist Church in Clinton, Indiana and was a member of the Newport American Legion Post 184 and a longtime member of the N.R.A. He was a 1962 graduate of Newport High School. Mick enjoyed hunting, fishing and reading.

Funeral service: 2 p.m. EDT Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Louis Stein and Pastor Larry Snyder; Burial with Honors: Thomas Cemetery in Newport, Indiana; Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. EDT Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at the funeral home.
