Michelle Lynn Marshall, born on May 18, 1978, in Danville, Illinois, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2025, in Cayuga, Indiana. She was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend hose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many.
Michelle worked as a lunch lady at the North Vermillion elementary school for seven years and also in the deli at Tilton County Market in Illinois for three years. One of her favorite things about working at the elementary was making the kids laugh and smile weather it was when the staff got to dress up in silly outfits or on April fool's day, she would make the kids think it would be something gross for lunch. Michelle was one of the most kindest people there was, she helped people and cared deeply for others. Michelle was also a big family oriented person, she had her two daughters, but she also claimed cousins’ children as her own as well. Michelle also loved her dog lady and her cat Luna like they were children of hers too. Her main hobbies were reading, going to concerts, shopping, and getting her nails done with her mom when they were out of school for the summer. Anyone who knew Michelle, knows that she was a sweet and caring woman that would go above and beyond for someone. Michelle is loved and missed so dearly by all and will always live on through her daughters and in our hearts.Michelle is survived by her caring husband, Jasen Marshall, and their children: Brianna (Ethan), Lindsey, and Trevor (Cheyenne) Marshall. Her role as a grandmother was deeply cherished, and she is survived by her grandchildren, Brody and Carson. Additionally, Michelle is survived by her parents, Johnny and Marsha (Holycross) Peterson, her grandmother, Norma Peterson, and her brother Todd (Raven) Peterson.
She is also remembered fondly by her aunts Debbie, Sherlyn, Donna and Sondra, Uncle Junior (Theresa), her sister-in-law Amy Marshall, her aunt-in-law Jackie (Tim) Goodwin, and her nephews TJ (Hannah), Corbin, Colby, and Colton.
Michelle was preceded in death by her grandparents Harold and Rosalie Holycross, Vernon Peterson, and her uncles David, John, and Donn, who will all be lovingly remembered.
