Michelle Lee Dick

Michelle Lee Dick, 45, of Danville, IL passed away at 5:52pm Saturday, May 5, 2018, at her home surrounded by family and friends. Michelle was born May 12, 1972, in Coshocton, Ohio, to Dwaine and Shirley (Eich) Dick. Her mother preceded her in death on August 2, 2006. She is survived by her father, Dwaine of Danville, IL; her brother Bryan (Lynn) Dick of Grove City, PA; her sister Tracie (Mike) O'Neill of North Aurora, IL; one niece, Alycia Marfongella of North Aurora; three nephews - Jared Dick, Stefan (Alevia) Dick, Jesse Dick - and one great- nephew, Auden Dick, all of Grove City, PA. One of Michelle's life passions was her job. Michelle was employed by the City of Danville Public Works Department as an Operations Programs Support Specialist for over 20 years. Co-workers appreciated her zest and dedication as much as she considered her co-workers her extended family Time spent with loved ones was important to Michelle. She was very active in Relay for Life activities. She was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and the St. Louis Cardinals and enjoyed watching games with family and friends. She also took great pleasure in her weekly card club as well as travelling with friends on trips to Florida, Colorado, and Tennessee. As boldly as she faced her battle with cancer, Michelle never skimped on life, living each of the days she was given to their very fullest. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4pm on Wednesday May 9, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville. Visitation will be held from 4-8pm on Tuesday May 8, 2018 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the OSF Cancer Center/Foundation of Danville.
