Michele Nelson

Michele Nelson, 82, of Westville passed away at her home on Sunday morning June 30, 2024, with family by her side. Michele was born in Danville, Illinois, the daughter of John and Evalyn (Fleeming) McCollum. Michele married Robert Nelson on November 8, 1986. He survives.

Michele leaves behind her husband, six children, multiple grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Michele was a hard worker, starting out she was the traffic manager at Super Sweet, she went to work for Wind Turbine, during her Banking career at American Savings in Danville at the small bank then moving up to the big bank in Danville. Later she transferred to Westville where she was a loved teller at the bank. Michele sold real estate while working at the bank as well for Centrye21 in Illinois and Indiana. Her and Bob drove a truck over the road semi and got to travel all over the United States.

A visitation will be held on Saturday July 6, 2024, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Westville, Illinois, 414 South State Street, from 10-12. Service will be held at 12 Saturday July 6, 2024, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston, Illinois.
