Michael Troy Haworth

Cayuga, Ind. - Michael Troy Haworth, 45, of Cayuga, passed away at 10:25 p.m. CST Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois. He was born November 24, 1971 in Danville, Illinois the son of Michael D. and Diana Lynn (Runyan) Haworth. Survivors include his children, Brayden Haworth of Washington State; Aleah and Macie Haworth both of Cayuga, Indiana; his father, Michael D. Haworth of Cayuga, Indiana; grandmother, Christina Allen of Danville, Illinois; sister, Tina Haworth of Cayuga, Indiana and brother, Shawn (Leticia) Haworth of Cayuga, Indiana; two nieces, Lauren and Malayna Haworth both of Westville, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his mother, Diana Haworth. Troy was currently employed at AutoZone, working there for the past 20 years. He was a 1990 graduate of North Vermillion High School. Troy took great pride in serving Vermillion County, Indiana as a Volunteer Fireman (Cayuga Volunteer Fire Department) and Advanced EMT (Vermillion County Ambulance). He was currently serving as Assistance Rescue Chief for the Fire Department and working part time with Vermillion County Ambulance. He loved his Indiana Force Softball family, but most of all he loved his children and spending time with his family and friends. Funeral services: 2 p.m. EST Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Keith Warner; Burial: Thomas Cemetery in Newport, Indiana; Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. EST Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at the funeral home with I.V.F.A. memorial services being held at 7:30 p.m. EST.
