Michael Paul Gouty

Newburgh, Ind. - Michael Paul Gouty, 76, of Newburgh and formerly of rural Covington passed away at 9:40 p.m. CST Sunday, January 16, 2022 at the Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, Indiana.

Mike was born October 10, 1945 in Danville, Illinois the son of the late Paul Herschel and Alma Louise (Brewer) Gouty.

He married Karen Elaine Todd on June 4, 1966 in Gessie, Indiana. She survives.

Other survivors include his three children: Kevin (Terri) Gouty of Williamsport, Indiana; Kathy (Shane) Yount of Evansville, Indiana and Kerri (Adolfo Coronado) Gouty of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; six grandchildren: Kristen (Brennon), Nathan, Austin, Alyssa, Michael and Sarah; five great-grandchildren: Peyton, Rylie, Karlee, Zoey and Charlie; two sisters: Mary Sheryl (Ron) Woods of Ridgway, Illinois and Marcia Jenkins of Covington, Indiana, and one brother: Alva (Charlotte) Gouty of Tilton, Illinois.

Mike retired from Preston Trucking after 20 years. He also formerly worked at USF Holland Trucking Company. He was a current member of the First Assembly of God Church in Evansville and a former member for 48 years of the First Assembly of God Church in Covington. Mike graduated from Perrysville High School in 1963. He enjoyed woodworking, sprint car races, and watching his grandchildren play sports.
