Michael 'Mike' Lyons

Mike Lyons, 40, passed away in Monroe, Louisiana on Saturday, April 8, 2023.

Michael Patrick Lyons was born in Danville, IL on September 23, 1982, to parents Debby and Terry Lyons.

Mike graduated from Danville High school in 2000. He loved cars, music and good food. Like his dad, Mike was a great cook.

He is survived by two children, Michael Jaelyn and Mariah Rose; grandchildren, Myaisha and Amir; half siblings, Terry, Tim, Kathy, Kristie and Tricia.

Mike was a rolling stone, loved to drive and travel but was a bit of a loner.

Mike came back to Danville in December 2021 from Louisiana to help take care of both his parents with illness. He was a wonderful caregiver.

Sadly, his father passed away less than four months ago on December 22, 2022. Mikes grandparents all preceded him. He will be dearly missed by his mother. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins; friends, Andy McGinnes, Katie Meeker, Frankie, Andy, Jesse Jackson will all miss him. His cousin, Trina, was very close with him.

We would appreciate any memorial donations in memory of Mike to go to Second Chances Addiction in Rayville, Lousianna and/or Wounded Warriors.

Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion Street, Danville, IL 61834 is assisting the family with arrangements. There will be no visitation at this time.
