Michael Mike W. Asmar, 45, of Danville, passed away at 11:52 p.m. est, Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis. Mike was born on March 5, 1962 in Danville, Illinois, the son of Moses and Bertha (Pugh) Asmar. He married Kelly Styer on February 12, 1993 in Danville. Mike is survived by his wife Kelly, sons Dustin Asmar of Danville and Dylan Asmar of Ridgefarm; step-daughters Kali (Ryan) Stitt and Chasity Myer both of Danville; grandson- Landon; mother Bert Woodford and step-father Albert Woody Woodford of Danville; brothers Moses Gene Asmar of Columbia, Tennessee and Bob (Sue) Asmar of Bloomington, Illinois; step-brother Neal Tucker of Rogers, Arkansas; mother and father-in-law- Bud and Linda Styer of Danville; sister and brother-in-law- Lisa (Scott) Boggess of Danville. Mike was preceded in death by his grandmother- Rita Pugh, father- Moses Asmar, step-father- Malcolm Tucker, brother-in-law- Frank Styer, sister-in-law- Deena Styer, and step-brother- Larry Tucker. Mike graduated from Danville High School in 1980. He owned Browns Lawn Mower Service since 2000. He previously worked at L&M Mower and B&D Sales and Service in Danville. Mike was a Master Certified Service Technician for Briggs and Stratton. At the age of 14, Mike successfully completed small engine repair at DACC. He enjoyed boating, skiing, fishing, and four wheeling with his kids. He loved watching NASCAR. Mike was a 32nd degree Mason member of the Olive Branch Lodge. He was also a member of the GAO Grotto. A Celebration of the Life of Michael Mike W. Asmar will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2007 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, with Pastor Kevin Summers officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 " 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park after the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, there will be a benefit held on March 31 at 11:00 a.m. at the K of C in Danville, to help the family with the costs of the medical expenses.
