Michael Micklus

Michael P. Boobie Micklus 61, of Danville, passed away at 6:02 a.m. Monday August 21, 2006 at his home. He was born July 24, 1945 in Decatur, IL the son of Albert and Ruby Carlile Micklus. He had worked at the Former Garys Fabric Store and later at Kirby Risk both in Danville. Boobie was a veteran of the U.S. Army, he served from August 30, 1962 to May 23, 1969, he was stationed in Germany for a few years. He enjoyed playing the piano, reading and collecting books, socializing with friends at local taverns where he made many friends. He was a history buff as well. Boobie was quite the entertainer and will be missed by many A celebration of life graveside service for Michael will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday August 28, 2006 at Danville National Cemetery. Military rites will by accorded by the American Legion post 210 of Danville. Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at the V.A Protestant Chapel located at 1900 East Main St in Danville. In luie of flowers donations cam be made to the local Danville chapter of the D.A.V. Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center is in charge of arrangements
