Michael Joe Fox, 73, of Danvile, passed away at 1:30am on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at his home with family by his side. He was born on August 7, 1945 in Danville the son of Donald and Lillian Fox. On July 2, 1965 Michael married the love of his life Janet Turnpaugh and they spent the next 53 years together before his passing, she survives. Also surviving are his son, Richard "Rick" (Kim) Fox; daughters, Mitzi (Gary) Watson, Susan (Jeff) Fauver; brothers, Bruce (Judy) Fox, Ric (Jan) Fox, Scot (Sharon) Fox; grandchildren, Kimberly Setser, Jeremy Watson, Kylee Watson, Eric Watson, Dalton Fox, Zachary Fox, Clayton Fauver, Colton Fauver, Caleb Fauver, Linzi Fauver; great-granddaughter, Alaina Longoria; uncle, Robert Fox; mother-in-law, Mary Turnpaugh; sister-in-law, Bettie (Chuck) Scott; special friends, Tom and Juanita Bannon and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Michael is preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, Harold Turnpaugh. Michael was a graduate of Seeger High School class of 1963 and later received a bachelor's degree in accounting from Indiana State University. He was president of Kesler & Co. CPA firm before establishing Michael J. Fox CPA firm and Pro-Mark Services Inc. marketing firm. Michael was a certified public accountant and a certified financial planner. He instructed business classes at Danville Area Community College. He was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountant's as well as a member of both Illinois and Indiana's CPA Societies. He was a member of the Institute of Certified Financial Planners. Michael was past chairman of Danville's Chamber of Commerce, past member and officer of the Danville YMCA as well as past director and officer of the Danville Country Club. Michael was also a member of the Danville Jaycees, the United Way for both Danville and Watseka, the Danville Elks and many more local organizations. He cared for his community and the people in it but the most important thing in his life was his family. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting him. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10am on Monday October 22, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Visitation will be held from 3pm to 7pm on Sunday October 21, 2018 at the funeral home.
