Michael Drummond

Michael "Mike" Drummond, 53, of Bismarck, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2012. He was born on December 9, 1958,in Danville, the son of Martin and Rita (Flannery) Drummond. Both survive. Mike and Carol were united in marriage on April 3, 1982 in Covington, IN. She survives along with their two children, Carissa (Ray) Baker and Lindsay (Derek) Heidrick, both of Bismarck. Mike was "Papa" to Kody Baker and Madison and Garrett Heidrick. Also surviving are Mike's devoted mother and father-in-law, Alberta and Art Tabels, brothers, Doug Drummond, Jeff (Lora) Drummond, and David Drummond; sisters, Becky (Brian) Arnold and Lisa Shuman; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Preceding him in death were his grandparents, and one uncle. He was a member of Teamsters and currently worked for Holland Trucking Company. Mike loved the Lord and worshipped at Life Church in Danville. His faith and positive outlook on life was an inspiration to many. Mike's greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends, and he will be deeply missed by many. We rejoice in the knowledge that he has passed the barrier of time as we know it and are forever at home with his Savior, Jesus Christ. A Celebration of Mike's Life will take place at 10:00am on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Life Church located in Danville with Pastor Archie Neal officiating. His body will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4-8pm on Friday, February 3, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home, located at 3940 N. Vermilion Street, in Danville.
