Michael B. Darr

Michael B. Darr, 61, of Danville passed away on April 21, 2019 at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville.

He was born on November 1, 1957 in Danville the son of Larry and Barbara (Hiser) Darr.

Mike will be deeply missed by his mother, Barbara Darr, children; Lindsay Darr, Logan Darr and Chloee Knight, siblings; Kathy (Steven) Fitzgerald, Diana Lynn Smith and Shane Darr, several beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Darr, infant brother, Patrick Darr and brother-in-law, Bob Smith.

Mike had an infectious sense of humor and grin as those close to him will always remember. He had a tremendous work ethic that started as a boy with Mossers Fine Shoes then later to Dines Machine and Trigard Memorials/ Hall of Fame Plaque and Sign, where he was the head machinist for 27 years. Mike was a generous, selfless, hard-working man that loved all his family, friends, work family and work friends. He was most proud of his children that meant so much to him. As a youth he enjoyed baseball, being in Eagle Scouts, mushrooming and walking with his father. Mikes favorite hobby was riding motorcycles with his great friend Rob Rayburn. He will be dearly missed by his buddy "Lola".

A celebration of Mikes life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 26, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville 3940 North Vermilion St. Danville, IL 61834 with Pastor Rod Godley officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-8 PM Thursday, April 25, 2019 at the funeral home. He will be entombed at Sunset Memorial Park. Memorials can be made in his name to the charity of the donors choice.
