Melody Dixon

Melody Dixon, 70, of Danville Illinois passed away on May 19, 2024, at OSF Sacred Heart Hospital in Danville. Melody was born September 22, 1953, the daughter of Lloyd and Viola (Reffeitt) Alcorn. Melody married Herbert Dixon on November 16, 1996. He survives.

Also surviving Melody is her children, Melissa (Charlie) Trimmel, H. Scott (Jennifer) Richards, Richard Hunt, and Amanda (Kyle) Lindsey, thirteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren.

Melody was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Floyd, four sisters, Shirley, Sharon, Katherine, and Ethel.

Melody Was a member of Morey Chapel where she was part of the ladies club. She enjoyed her Bible study with her church friends, playing euchre. But most of all she loved the time she spent with her family, her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Visitation for Melody will be held at Sunset funeral home and cremation center in Georgetown, Illinois 200 East West St. from 11 to 1 on Tuesday May 28, 2024. Service will be held at the funeral home at 1. Gary Farris will officiate. A burial will follow at Kingman Fraternal Cemetery outside of Kingman Indiana.
