Melody Copsy

Melody Copsy, 64, of Paris, passed away at 10:40am, Saturday, September 26, 2020, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. She was born on November 4, 1955, in Highland, Indiana, the daughter of Earl and Ellen {Massey} Copsy.

Melody was a big fan of Star Trek and belonged to their fan club. She loved to refurbish and paint furniture. She used to sing at the theatre and loved to watch Broadway musicals. Melody loved animals of all kinds. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son, Mathew Pinegar; her daughter, Katie (Nick) Tuggle; her brother, Burlin Copsy; her sister, Nancy Downing; her grandchildren, Audrey Murdock, Love Wright, & River Cole; her nieces & nephews, Cindy Steele, Tammy Star, David Downing, & James Copsy. She was preceded in death by her parents and nephew, Scott Copsy.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Georgetown, Illinois 200 E. West St. Georgetown, Illinois 61846 with Pastor James Blue officiating. As per her wishes, she was cremated.
