Melody A Lockhart

Oakwood- Melody A. Lockhart, 54, of Oakwood, passed away at 10:44pm on August 8, 2013 at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center. She was born on June 4, 1959 in Danville to Harlin and Mary Hinton Morlock. She was married to Jeffery Lockhart on May 6, 1978 in Danville, he survives. She is survived by her two sons Josh (Shirley) Lockhart and Jon Lockhart; two brothers Dennis and Malcolm Hinton; one sister Dawn Sanders; her five grandchildren Shyann (Ridge) Thomas, Ricky, Brandon, Scotti, and Sierra Littleton. She is preceded in death by her parents Harlin and Mary Hinton; and her mother-in-law Doris Lockhart and her Father-in-law Robert Lockhart Melody would often be found outside whether she was fishing or mushroom hunting, she also enjoyed spending time in the kitchen cooking and baking for her family. Melody loved shopping and playing cards Phase 10 in particular. Above all else Melody loved spending time with her family. A celebration of Melodys life will be held at 11:00am on August 13, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home with Randy Allison officiating and burial at Dodson Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00pm August 12, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville.
