Melissa Swaby

Melissa Swaby, 53, of Covington, IN passed away on July 16, 2019 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Danville, IL.

She was born on March 6, 1966 in Terre Haute, IN the daughter of Donald and Edith (Ferry) Baysinger. She married Keith Swaby on July 7, 1984 and they just celebrated 35 wonderful years together.

Melissa will be deeply missed by her husband, Keith Swaby of Covington, children; Kyle (Lexi) Swaby of Lafayette, IN, Emily Swaby of Covington and Edie (Jim) Gregoire of Summerville, SC, siblings; Martin (Ellen) Baysinger of Linton, IN, Laurie (Kevin) Prindiville of Clay City, IN and Naidona (Brian) Ott of Williamstown, NJ, grandchildren; Kolton, Lainey and Laiton Swaby, Dominic Gregoire and one on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents and infant brothers, Donald Baysinger Jr. and Jeffrey Baysinger.

Melissa loved playing the piano, sewing, antiquing and spending time with her grandkids. Her and Keith were members of Maranatha Baptist Church in Covington.

A celebration of Melissas life will be held at 1:00 PM EST on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Covington, 420 3rd Street Covington, IN 47932 with Pastor Kenneth Jones officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM-1:00 PM EST Saturday prior to the service. She will be laid to rest at Mount Hope cemetery in Covington.
