BROADLANDS, IL. Melba Louise Kilian, 86, of Broadlands passed away at 5:05am Wednesday December 14, 2005 in Danville, Illinois, where she wanted to be close to her family. She has gone to be with the Lord this day. She was born October 13, 1919 in Sidell to Willis and Lulu Tatman Sawyer. Melba married Raymond Kilian April 29, 1941 in Georgetown, Illinois. He preceded her in death Nov 26, 1986. She is survived by her son Kenneth (Sandra Sue) Kilian of Danville, two grandchildren; Aaron Paul (Angie ) Kilian of Cape Coral, Florida, and Tamara Nannette Holmes of Arnold, Missouri, four great-grandsons Christian Blake, Daniel Andrew, Adrian Paul Kilian, all of Cape Coral, Florida, and Connor Michael Holmes, of Arnold, Missouri, two brothers; Gene (Charlene) Sawyer of Catlin, Clifford (Judy) Sawyer of Georgetown, one aunt; Madelyn Porter of Metcalf, Illinois, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother Raymond Sawyer of Oakwood. Melba Louise was a housewife and farmer with her husband, son, and family most of her life. She enjoyed her family and friends. She had been in ill health the past year. She was a member of Broadlands Community Church.
