Maysel O. Boehme, 87, of Danville, passed away at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at North Logan Healthcare in Danville. Maysel was born on March 26, 1921 in Salem, Indiana, the daughter of Clifford and Myrtle (Anderson) Thomas. She married Vernon Boehme in 1939 in Covington, Indiana. He preceded her in death in October of 1980. She is survived by her two daughters- Janice Boehme and Donna Haworth both of Bismarck, Illinois; one daughter-in-law- Marge (Bill) Price of Rice Lake, Wisconsin; one brother- Ed (Frances) Thomas of Bartlett, Illinois; four grandchildren- Tisha Holycross of Danville, Lisa (Doug) Halls of Danville, Randal (Joy) Boehme of Princeton, Minnesota and LeRoy Boehme of Atlanta, Georgia; 8 great-grandchildren- Tara and Tyra Holycross, Cody and Jordan Murphy, Judith Halls and Devin, Taryn and Braedin Boehme; step-grandchildren- Missy (Matt) Felonk of Rice Lake, Wisconsin; step-great-grandchildren- Drew, Conner and Aurora Felonk of Rice Lake, Wisconsin; and two friends- Alfred Weekly and Alexis Weekly. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter- Nancy Ann Boehme, son- James Boehme, grandson- Tommy Murphy, son-in-law- John R. Haworth, sister-Martha Morger and two brothers- Hershel and Herbert Thomas. Maysel was a member of the Northland Christian Church and currently CrossRoads Christian Church. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, seamstress and quilting. She will especially be remembered as a caregiver for her special needs daughter-Janice. A Celebration of the Life of Maysel O. Boehme will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 15, 2008 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Doug Hargrave officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Rankin following the funeral luncheon. Family and friends will gather for coffee at the Methodist Berquist Fellowship Hall following the burial. Memorials may be made to the donors choice.
