Crawfordsville, Ind. -- Maynard R. Hollingsworth, 85, of Crawfordsville, Indiana and formerly of Newport, Indiana, passed away at 7:10 a.m. EDT Monday(June 18, 2007) at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born December 4, 1921, in Newport, Indiana, the son of the late Oscar E. and Gladys Brown Hollingsworth. He first married Ada Jane Naylor on July 4, 1943 at Fishers Island, New York. She preceded him in death on June 13, 1997. He later married Delores Cedars Runyan on August 25, 2001 in Crawfordsville, Indiana. She survives. Other survivors include his children: Paula Roberts of Clinton, Indiana; Russell(Mary)Hollingsworth of rural Dana, Indiana and Teresa(Phillip)Adams of rural Rockville, Indiana; four stepchildren, Sherrie(Rick)Payne and Tom(Patricia)Hill both of Crawfordsville, Indiana; Mike(Tammy)Hill of Brookfield, Missouri and Tim(Lisa)Hill of Decatur, Illinois; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 15 step grandchildren; 10 step great grandchildren; one sister, Doyne Dwiggins of Danville, Illinois; four brothers, Emery Hollingsworth of Hillsdale, Indiana; Donald Hollingsworth of Newport, Indiana; Marion Hollingsworth of Danville, Illinois and Paul(Janet)Hollingsworth of Newport, Indiana. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Johnson; one sister and four brothers. Maynard retired from Scott Oil in Clinton, Indiana (37 years) and farming. He was a veteran of W.W. II serving with the United States Navy. He was a member of the Newport United Methodist Church and the Newport American Legion Post # 184. He was a 1939 graduate of Newport High School. Maynard enjoyed fishing and traveling. Funeral services: 3 p.m. EDT Friday, June 22, 2007 at DeVerter Brothers Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Rev. Jon Overbey; Burial: Thomas Cemetery, Newport, Indiana; Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. EDT Thursday, June 21, 2007 at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Mrs. J.
