Maxine Stuebbe Reich, 84, of Danville, passed away at 8:15 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2006 at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville. Maxine was born on September 24, 1921 in Danville, the daughter of Walter F. W.J. and Freda E. (Sy) Stuebbe. She married Fred Reich in July of 1942 in East Los Angeles, California. He is surviving. She is also survived by her three sisters- Fern (Verl) Cline of Covington, Jin Stuebbe of Catlin, and Wini (Dave) Divan of Irving, Texas; several nieces and nephews- Jane (Johnny) Parker of San Jose, California, Judith A. Cline of Indianapolis, Indiana, David Divan of New York, New York, Julie (Steve) Mercer of Franklin, Tennessee, Nicole (Drew) Nolan of Irving, Texas, Ronnie Reich of Danville, and Sue (Rick) Tomlinson of Ball Ground, Georgia; and several great nieces and nephews. Her parents, one nephew- James Cline and one niece Joan Cline preceded her in death. Maxine graduated from Danville High School in 1939. She worked for MFG making hair products for 36 years until she retired in 1983. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed playing euchre in her euchre club with the girls from church. A Celebration of the Life of Maxine Reich will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 21, 2006 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Danville, with Pastor Daniel Fienen officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home on Monday. Burial will be at the Lutheran Cemetery. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center is in charge of arrangements.
