C. Maxine Middlemas, 82, of Danville, formerly of Georgetown, passed away peacefully at 8:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Danville. Maxine was born on August 24, 1924 in Danville, Illinois, the daughter of Harry and Bessie (Willis) Hill. She married Charlie Middlemas on January 13, 1943 in Watseka, Illinois. He preceded her in death on June 5, 2003. She is survived by her children-Sandra K. (Robert) Mahoney, Steven C. (Janis) Middlemas, and Linda (Jim) Anderson; Her grandchildren- Lynda Brooks, Kristy Steward, Erin Cross, Amy Osborne, Chad Middlemas, Jennie Wallace, Justin Wallace, Timothy Anderson, and Cody Goodman; Great Grandchildren- Ryan and Drew Brooks, Danika and Bailey Steward, Mason Wallace, Addison Wallace, Hailee Swinford, Nicholas Goodman, Cole Curtis, Ashton Anderson, and Meghan and Kelli Cross; And her very dear sister-in-law- Frances Hill, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, six brothers- Edwin F. Hill, Paul S. Hill, Lowell Bill Hill, Raymond C. Hill, James A. Abe Hill, and her twin brother Leo E. Hill, one sister- Dorothy B. Wynne, and one step-brother- Joseph W. MacGirvin. Maxine worked at G.E. as a line worker for 26 years until she retired in the early 1980s. She was a member of the First Church of Christ in Georgetown. She could always be seen working in her yard. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Maxine will be greatly missed. At Maxines request there will be no visitation and a private graveside service will be held at a later date. Burial will be at Forest Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Charlie Middlemas Scholarship Fund at Danville Area Community College Foundation. Sunsets Community and Life Tribute Center is in charge of arrangements.
