Max Hewerdine

Champaign-Max Hewerdine, 74, of Champaign died at 8:30 PM on Monday, March 2, 2015 at Presence Covenant Medical Center in Urbana. Max was born on March 27, 1940 the son of Glade and Florence (Rankin) Hewerdine. They preceded him in death. He was a long-term employee of Sunbeam Bread Company/Lewis Bakery. After his retirement he worked for the Community Blood Services of Illinois. Surviving is his wife, Dorothy M. Hewerdine; two daughters, Cindy (Joe) Colclasure and Melissa (Dennis) Phillips; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made the Champaign-Urbana Humane Society. Family services will be held at a later date.
