Matthew Robert Winters

Danville Matthew Robert Winters, 39, of Danville, passed away at 4PM on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at his home. He was born August 31, 1984 in Mountain Home, ID to Rodney Winters and Julie (Killin) Alverson.

He is survived by his parents, Rodney Winters and Julie (Mike) Alverson; his partner, Tabitha Shoaf; brother, Jason (Holly) Winters; grandparents, Bob and Dottie Winters and Sarah Killin; a special aunt, Cindy Walters; special cousin, McKenzie Perry; as well as many very special friends.

He was preceded in death by a grandfather, Jack Killin.

Matthew proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. After his discharge, he continued to support Air Force Sports as well as Michigan Football. Matt also enjoyed golf and loved music, and he held a special place in his heart for his cat and dog. Most of all, Matt loved his many special friends. He cared deeply for his military brothers and all of his friends who were a part of his life.

Per Matts wishes, there will be no services at this time. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center at 3940 N. Vermilion St., Danville, IL 61834.
