Matthew Guymon

Matthew Lee Guymon, 59, of Perrysville, IN formerly of Danville, IL passed away at his home on August 5, 2023 in Perrysville, IN.

Matthew was born on October 14, 1963 in Los Angeles, CA the son of Richard and Audrey Diane (Deck) Guymon.

Matthew is survived by his mother, Dianne Guymon of LeRoy, IL, two daughters, Bayley (Thad Kisor) Guymon on Noblesville, IN and Bianca (Kyle) Wilson of Seymour, IN, one granddaughter, Willow Wilson and one brother, Mark (JoAnne) Guymon of LeRoy, IL as well as special friends, Dave Parker, Todd Reed and Pat Ablinger.

Matthew is preceded in death by his father, Richard Guymon and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Matthew is a Danville High School graduate and attended DACC, Joliet Junior College and Indiana State University. He worked for the Indiana Department of Corrections and later operated Fat Matts BBQ and catering. Matthew was also a football coach for ISU, and various local high schools. He was an avid Chicago Bears fan and a Pittsburgh Pirates fan, but most of all Matthew loved spending time with his daughters.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Tim Wright will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 PM on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Indiana University Health Renal Transplant Department at IU Health in Indianapolis, IN.
