Matthew Dougherty

Danville- Matthew Dougherty, 56, of Danville passed away at 1:21am on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Carle Foundation Hospital. He was born August 13, 1960 in Danville. He is the son of Bill and Kay Besse Dougherty. He will be missed by: two daughters, Tiffany and Brittany Dougherty; granddaughter, Violet Irvin; brothers, Billy Dougherty and Tod Besse. Matthew was a proud member of Fairview Sportsman's Club, he enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, he loved to fish and hunting and loved sitting by a bonfire with loved ones. He also had a strong faith. A celebration of Matthews life will be held at 10 am Saturday October 21, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion st. in Danville. Burial will be in Oakhill Cemetery in Oakwood, IL. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:00pm on Friday October 21, 2016 at the funeral home. Memorial donations can be made to Moody Bible Institute.
