Marylou R. Heaton, 77, of Danville, passed away at 11:40 p.m. Sunday, October 23, 2005 at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville. Marylou was born on April 5, 1928 in Danville, the daughter of Albert and Mabel (Thornsbrough) Rayl. She married Stephen G. Beam Sr. on March 30, 1946 in Danville. He preceded her in death. She then married John C. Heaton on December 23, 1969 in Danville. He preceded her in death. She is survived by her one son- Stephen G. Beam Jr. of Danville; three daughters- Carol (Bill) Warren of Danville, Phyllis (Charles) Clark Sr. of Carbon, Indiana, and Marla (Daniel) Lomax of Brazil, Indiana; 19 grandchildren- Glenda Beam, Bobbi Jo Beam, Stephen Beam III, Allen Beam, Leah Beam, Matt Nosler, Hank (Melissa) Nosler, Allen (Andrea) Nosler, Sean (Sandy) Warren, Shane (Syndee) Warren, Tawne (Eric) Hedges, Robert Clark, Todd (Tina) Clark, Charles (Casey) Clark Jr., Anntoinette Clark, Kyle Carmean, Steven Carmean II, John Carmean, and Kaitlyn Lomax; 19 great-grandchildren; one cousin- Ruth Ellen Wills of Danville; and life long friend- Ruth McAllister of Hegler, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents and two husbands. Marylou graduated from Danville High School. She worked for the Illinois Extension office for 4 years as a social worker. She loved being around her grandchildren. She enjoyed playing bunco and being outdoors sitting in the yard. She also enjoyed bowling with John. She was a member of First Church of Christ. A celebration of the life of Marylou R. Heaton will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2005 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, with Pastor Pete Wright and Pastor Tom Rushline officiating. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park. Memorials may be made in Marylous name to the American Cancer Society.
