Marybell Killion, 88, of Danville, passed away at 3:18 p.m. Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Marybell was born on October 22, 1920 in Vermilion County, the daughter of Dennis Arnold and Nellie (Schlensker) Jones. Marybell was previously married to Walter Emery Dennis. From that marriage they had three children-Phillip (Joann) Dennis of Rock Island, Illinois, Bill (Sharon) Dennis of Salem, Illinois and Constance Reynolds of Tilton, Illinois. She later married Norman Willard Killion Sr. on April 21, 1968 in Mitchell, Indiana. He preceded her in death on September 20, 1997. She is survived by her children, six grandchildren- Martin (Rose Grant) Dennis, Kevin (Melissa) Dennis, Michael (Krys) Reynolds, Carin Reynolds, Jodi (Bobby) Loyd and Glen (Amber) Dennis; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, sisters- Kathryn Archer and Dorothy Leverich, anD brothers- Melvin Jones and Glenn Jones. Marybell retired from General Motors after 37 years of service. She attended the Southside Church of the Nazarene and was a member of UAW Local #579. She enjoyed camping, being outdoors and cooking family dinners. A Celebration of the Life of Marybell Killion will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 16, 2009 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, with Pastor Randall Holden officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park following the service. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
