Mary White

Mary E. White, 85, of Alvin, passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2008, at 3:08 p.m. at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center. Mary was born on January 26, 1922, in Vermilion County (Ross Township), the daughter of Charles L. Green and Mary Sloan. She married Mahlon O. White on September 19, 1970 at St. Pauls Catholic Church by Father C.B. Motsett. Mary was a graduate of Bismarck High School. She was a bookkeeper for Bismarck Grain Elevator. Mary was a member of St. Pauls Catholic Church and the Vermilion County Home Extension. She was quite active in the Bismarck Senior Citizen Organization and the Bismarck High School Alumni Association. Mary is survived by her husband, one brother, John Green of Bismarck, one sister-in-law, Lois Green of Bismarck, two nephews, Craig (Janet) Green of Danville and Tim (Sue) Green of Austin, Texas, one great-niece, Valerie (Jeff) Stal of Georgetown and one great-nephew, Chad (Stephanie) Green of Bismarck. She was preceded by her parents, two brothers, Francis Green and Charles Green, and two sisters-in-law, Gerri Green and Virginia Green. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 7, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Pauls Catholic Church with Father Gregory Nelson officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 6, 2008, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home, 3940 N. Vermilion Street, Danville, with prayer service at 2:30p.m. Memorials may be made in Marys name to Provena United Samaritan Medical Foundation, 801 W.
