Mary L. Walker, 82, of Danville passed at 12:03 a.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at Provena USMC Logan Campus. Mary was born September 28, 1924 in Danville daughter of Aaron and Ethel Viers Sullivan. She married George Walker on September 7, 1941 in St. Joseph, Missouri. He preceded her in December of 1985. Survivors include son Robert (Jeanine) Walker of, AR, two daughters: Sharon (Robert) Richards of Danville, and Christine (Tony) Marroletti of Jacksonville, FL.; several grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; two brothers: Jere (Belva) Sullivan and John (Doris) Sullivan both of Danville; and daughter-in-law Sandra Walker of N. Little Rock, AR. Mary was preceded by her parents, son Mark, a brother, and a sister. Mary attended Oakwood schools and worked at the First Baptist Church in the nursery as well as being a dedicated homemaker and loving mother. Faith Baptist Church in Danville has been blessed with her attendance for 35 years. A Celebration of Marys Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2007 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion Street Danville, IL with Pastor Allen Rudy officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home. Per her and her families wishes she will be cremated after the services and laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Danville.
