Mary V. Rector

Mary V. [Allen] Rector, 94, of Georgetown, passed away at 9:00pm, Saturday, May 25, 2013, at Pleasant Meadows Christian Village, Chrisman. She was born on October 3, 1918, in Putnam County, Indiana, the daughter of Earl and Lorraine [Frank] Allen. She was wed to Darrell Allen in 1936 until his passing in 1966. She was later wed to Bob D. Rector on October 12, 1973. He survives. She is also survived by: her daughter, Charlotte [Allen] Humrichous of Georgetown; her step-daughters, Beverly Sinclair of Cloverdale, IN, & Belinda K. (Mike) Robinson of Greencastle, IN; her grandchild, Dayna (Randy) [Humrichous] Coulter of Pace, FL, & five step-grandchildren; her great grandchild, Nathanael Coulter & 8 step great grandchildren; and her two special nieces, Kathy Johnson of Red River, NM, & Sheryl Ford of Klamath Falls, OR. She was preceded in death by: her parents; three brothers; and her son-in-law, Leland Hammer' Humrichous. Mary graduated from Perrysville High School Class of 1936. She owned a yarn shop in Rockville and she loved knitting and crocheting. She loved going to Florida and collecting shells and then making crafts with them. She enjoyed living at Raccoon Lake during 1964-2007. A Graveside Service will be at 10:00am (CST), Monday, June 3, 2013, at Mount Hope Cemetery in Covington, IN. Memorial donations may be given in her name to Pleasant Meadows Christian Village, Chrisman. Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
