Mary Sprouls

Mary Gayle Sprouls passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at her home. Mary was born on October 10, 1925, the daughter of Paul and Ruth {Hayward} Woodruff. She was united in marriage to Warren Sprouls on September 14, 1946. Mary was a homemaker and "hired man" at a successful farm operation in McKendree Township for 69 years. She was the secretary of the Georgetown Friends Church Monthly Meeting for several years. Mary enjoyed crafts, sewing, gardening and being a Mom, at which she excelled. She will be dearly missed by: her husband, Warren; her sons, Eric (Linda) Sprouls of Wadesville, IN, & Mark (Lin) Sprouls of Tucson, AZ; her daughter, Julie (Gary) Tibbs of Moweaqua, IL; her grandchildren, Steven Sprouls, Katie (Sean) Sprouls, Troy Smith, Jeff Smith, Andy (Sarah) Tibbs, Meghan Tibbs, and Zach (Elizabeth) Tibbs; her great grandchildren, Conner Sprouls, Madelyn Smith, Mackenzie Smith, Skylar Smith, Gavin Tibbs, & Carter Tibbs. The family would like to extend a heartfelt "thank you" to Karen from Carle Hospice for all of her care and support through this difficult time. At this time, there will be no services or visitation. A family memorial will be held at a later date. Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home assisted her family with arrangements.
