Mary S. Turner, 64, of Indianola, passed away at 10:28am, Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at her home. She was born on October 4, 1946, in Danville, IL, the daughter of Leslie and Imogene {Baird} Erp, both deceased. She was wed to William A. Turner on February 23, 1964, in Indianola, IL, until his passing on January 31, 2007. Mary will be missed by: her sons, Donnie Turner & Scott (Amanda) Turner, both of Indianola; her daughter-in-law, Rhonda Johnson of Danville; her grandchildren, Mathew Turner & Nathaniel Turner, both of Indianola, and soon-to-be-born, Colton Turner; her step granddaughter, Katlin OHerron; her sister, Darlene (Cleve) High Jr of Fairmount; her brothers, John (June) Baird of Ridge Farm, Lowell Erp of Fairmount, Kevin (Linda) Erp of Danville, Orval (Doris) Erp of Indianola, & Gerald (Sherrie) Erp of Ridge Farm; and her special friend, Donna Edwards of Danville. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jayden Turner. Mary was a member of the Moose Lodge #1001 and a Lioness with the Lions Club. She enjoyed listening to her police scanner and was an avid Illini & Cubs fan. Most of all, Mary was devoted to her family and loved her grandkids dearly. A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held for Mary at 10:00am, Saturday, April 23, 2011, at Woodlawn Cemetery, Indianola, with Tim Pearman officiating. Visitation will be 5-7pm, Friday, April 22, 2011, at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Chapel, A Life Celebration Home, Georgetown. Memorial donations may be given in her Marys name to Ronald McDonald House in Springfield, IL.
