Mary Reynolds

Mary M. Reynolds, 92, of Edwardsville, formerly of Danville passed away Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Rosewood Care Center in Edwardsville. She was born on March 5, 1922 in Collison, Illinois, and was the daughter of the late Clarence and Nellie (Juvinall) Vinson. She married William B. Reynolds on July 28, 1944 in Pensacola, Florida. He preceded her in death on October 15, 2013. Mary attended Eastern Illinois University and was a retired teacher from the Bismarck School District. Most recently, she worked for hospice in Venice, Florida. Mary attended the United Methodist Church in Danville, Illinois and was a member of the church choir at First United Methodist Church in Punta Gorda, Florida. Mary is survived by her two sons, Vinson (Doolin) Reynolds of Sterling, Virginia and Allen (Alice) Reynolds of Bethalto, Illinois; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Wesley Vinson. A memorial service for Mary will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 11th at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. Her family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. Friday until the time of service at the funeral home. Per Marys wishes, cremation has been accorded. Burial will be at Embery Cemetery, Illinois.
