Mary Murphy

Perrysville, Ind. - Mary Murphy, 75, of Perrysville, passed away at her residence on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 6:45 a.m. EDT. She was born in Lexington, Kentucky on February 3, 1941 to Garrett and Liddle (Owens) Gray. On November 28, 1961 in Hamilton, Ohio she married Joseph Murphy, and he preceded her in death in 1990. Mary loved the Lord, singing, reading her Bible, Attending church, praying for her loved ones and those in need. She is survived by six children, Raymond Murphy, unspoken love forever always oldest daughter, Shirley (Gerald) Downs, Phillip Murphy, Connie Denise (David) Sayre, Christine (James) Kirby, 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 5 sisters, Josephine Hatchett, Minnie (James) Tabor, Martha Conner, Barbara (Ronald) Hall, and Virginia Gadd. She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Joseph Gray, Garrett Jr. Gray, James Gray, Elizabeth Wyatt, Emma Bates, Delena Cormack, and Bertha Whitis. Funeral services will be held at Redeemer Baptist Church in Hamilton, Ohio, on Monday, June 27, 2016 at 11 a.m. EDT with Pastor Richard Coldiron of Redeemer Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Hamilton, Ohio. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 27, 2016 from 10 a.m. EDT until time of services at the Church. One of Mary's Biblical instructions came from Ephesians "Do not go to bed angry."
