Mary E. Moore, 73, of Danville passed away on April 8, 2009 at her sons home with her family at her side. Mary was born August 20, 1935 in Danville daughter of Aretus and Ielene Weccele Musson. She married Benjamin Ray Moore. He preceded her in death in June of 1996. Survivors include 5 children: Tim Moore of Greenwood, IN, Rick (Carrie) Moore of Bismarck, IL, Roger (Dawn) Moore of Alvin, IL, Ronnie (Lisa) Moore of Danville, IL, and Benita (Kevin) Legg of Danville, IL. Stepson: Benny (Joyce) Moore of Tilton, IL; Brothers: Albert Musson and Bill Musson; Sisters: Pat Lacey, Evelyn Williamson, Hazel Loveless, Eileene Anders, and Gladys Musson. Grandchildren: Mike, Holly, Ashley, Heather, Ricky, Roger Jr, Misty, Amanda, Cheyenne, Veronica, Angel, Devyn, Skyler, Kynadi, James, Alicia, Crystal, Jacob, Benny Jr, Troy, Ricky, Crystal, James, and Michelle; and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, son George, brothers Harry, Robert, & Dennis; sister Sarah, and great grandchild Destiny. Mary attended Diamond grade school and graduated from Oakwood High School. She had worked for R&R printing and managed the Danville Rescue Mission thrift store for many years. Mary volunteered at CRIS Senior Center for 13 years and was in charge of organizing the Wednesday night Starlight Ball at Harrison Park. She enjoyed bingo, and was a Illini and Cubs fan, but most of all spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. A Celebration of Marys Life will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. Danville, IL with Pastor Dave Anderson officiating. Visitation will be held from 2-7 pm Monday afternoon at the funeral home. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Oakhill Cemetery in Danville.
