Mary Meeker

Mary Meeker, 77, of Ridge Farm, went to be with her savior on Monday January 22, 2024, while resting peacefully in her home. Mary was born on November 15, 1946, the daughter of Thomas and Clodine (Owen) Puckett. She married her teenage sweetheart, Dannie, on January 25, 1964. They shared their life together until his passing on February 19, 2008.

Mary leaves behind her children; Dannie "Scott" (Rich) Meeker and Anita (Mike) Kotcher, her grandchildren; Wesley Kotcher and Ashley (Garic) Polk, her siblings; Bill (Linda) Puckett, Donna (Gary) Kastl, Sharon (Ron) Shook, and David (Donnetta) Puckett, one niece and several nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother Lloyd Puckett.

Mary was a beautician who helped many people look and feel their best. She owned Keep-A-Kurl Beauty Shop in Ridge Farm and for over 35 years dedicated her life and talents to others in the community. Mary was a long-time member of Bethel Baptist Church in Georgetown, IL and loved to read and study her bible. She also enjoyed painting, gardening, making quilts and was an author of a book. She enjoyed family and spending time with them. She will be missed by all that knew her.

A Celebration of Marys life will be at 11am Saturday January 27, 2024, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 200 E West Street Georgetown, IL 61846 with Pastor James Blue Officiating.
